The University of Arkansas at Little Rock invites nominations and applications for the position of Men’s Wrestling Head Coach (R96886). The University of Arkansas at Little Rock, part of the University of Arkansas System, is a metropolitan university dedicated to providing excellence in education to a diverse student body and to serving the needs of a vibrant and growing region of the state. The Head Coach will lead a program that competes at the NCAA Division I level. The UA Little Rock Athletic Department includes 15 sports for men and women.
Under the general supervision of the Director of Athletics, the Men’s Wrestling Head Coach will manage a Division I Wrestling program as Head Coach, in accordance with NCAA, conference and the UA Little Rock regulations. Areas of responsibility include coaching, recruiting, conditioning, scouting, budget, summer camps/clinics, administration of sport, supervision of assistant coaches, public relations, fundraising and other duties as assigned.
Required Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree with five (5) years intercollegiate wrestling coaching experience.
Job Duties: •Responsible for the overall management and supervision of the Men’s Wrestling program; •Supervise Assistant Wrestling Coaches; and evaluate prospective student-athletes; •Responsible for overall management of sports operating and scholarship budget; •Assist in fundraising and public relations activities and be responsible for annual fundraising goals; •Compliance with all NCAA, conference and institutional rules; •Monitor academic progress toward degree; •Perform other duties as assigned.
