Coe College, a member of the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC), is accepting applications for the position of Head Coach for the Eastern Iowa Wrestling Club.
The Head Coach for the Eastern Iowa Wrestling Club is responsible for successful direction of all athletic activities, coordination of events, and recruitment of club-participants, while maintaining the highest level of ethical and legal standards. This position is responsible for planning and conducting practices and applicable special events, camps and clinics for the program. The Head Coach is responsible for recruitment, retention and leadership of the club coaching staff and administration, and for maintaining an open and inclusive environment for all participants who utilize the wrestling facilities at both Coe College and the University of Iowa or any other facilities as part of the program.
The Eastern Iowa Wrestling Club operates one of the finest wrestling clubs in the Midwest out of two locations: the brand new Coe College Wrestling Room and the wrestling room in the historic Carver Hawkeye Arena.
Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably sports management or administration; •2-4 years of coaching experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. •Successful completion of background check in accordance with Coe College policy.
