Limestone College, a Division II institution and associate member of the South Atlantic Conference (SAC) invites applications for the full-time, 12-month position of Assistant Women’s Wrestling Coach.
The successful candidate will assist the head coach in all aspects of the program, including but not limited to: recruiting, overseeing the academic progress and success of student-athletes, scouting and other duties as needed to continue the success of the program. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to successfully train athletes’ individual skill development and motivate them to achieve maximum levels of performance. Support the physical, emotional, and social growth of student-athletes through various systems of support that produces quality student-athlete experiences. Knowledge of technology and video to enhance the wrestlers’ development and team performance is preferred.
A Bachelor degree is required for this position. The candidate must have a commitment to and responsibility for adhering to all rules and regulations of Limestone College and the NCAA. Candidates must have previous successful coaching and/or competition experience in Freestyle Wrestling at the NCAA or Women’s Collegiate Wrestling Association (WCWA) level. Effective communication skills; ability to effectively communicate college information in a clear and understandable manner, both verbally and in writing to coaches, potential student athletes (PSA), and parents/guardians. Must be willing to travel and attend off-site coaching professional development seminars. The selected candidate must be willing to consent to, and pass, with satisfactory results, an investigative consumer report.
