Kentucky Wesleyan College, a private, liberal arts college with a long-standing reputation for quality and academic excellence, is seeking applications for a part-time Assistant Wresting Coach. Kentucky Wesleyan is an NCAA Division II institution and member of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC).
Major Responsibilities
- Assisting with the instruction of student athletes in wrestling.
- Teaching the rules, fundamentals, skill development, and strategies for wrestling.
- Assisting with the instruction of student athletes on sport-related topics, including personal health, wellness, fitness, team building, and safety.
- Assisting with the recruitment and retention of potential student athletes.
- Following the Athletics Department Academic Policy and academic support plan for student athletes.
Qualifications
- Previous coaching experience. College-level coaching experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree preferred.
- Certified in First Aid, CPR, AED.
- Effective interpersonal communication and relationship skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and enthusiastically with others.
Compensation
In addition to a monthly salary, the Assistant Coach will be provided with a campus meal plan at no charge. A residence hall room may be available; however, this will depend on availability.
