Colby Community College is accepting applications for a full-time Head Women's Wrestling Coach. The head wrestling coach is responsible for the operation of the wrestling program within the rules and regulations of the Jayhawk Conference, the National Junior College Athletic Association, and Colby Community College. The coach works closely with administrative offices and departments across campus. Rapport must be established, maintained, and promoted with students, faculty, and staff.
Essential Functions:
Recruitment of student-athletes.
Scheduling matches and officials for the wrestling season.
Fundraising
Promoting the wrestling program through involvement within the college and community.
Submitting an approved annual operating budget.
Scheduling team travel and practices in compliance with institutional policies and procedures.
Guide student-athletes on a range of personal and educational issues.
Monitoring the academic progress of athletes.
Reporting information to the media with the CCC Sports Information Director.
Other duties as assigned.
SALARY $40,000-$45,000, depending on credentials and experience.

Bachelor’s degree required and experience as a wrestling coach required.
Master’s degree and experience as a collegiate wrestling coach preferred.
Colby Community College is located in northwest Kansas, approximately 50 miles from the Nebraska and Colorado borders. The college has grown from 99 students in the fall of 1964 to around 2,000 today. CCC competes at the NJCAA Division I level as a member of the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference.
