Full-Time Head Wrestling Coach Intercollegiate Athletics
Millersville University of Pennsylvania welcomes applications for a Head Wrestling Coach. The Head Wrestling Coach reports directly to the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and is responsible for leading a program that has enjoyed a rich tradition in the PSAC and NCAA Division II. The Coach will direct all phases of the wrestling program, by establishing and maintaining a high standard of excellence, which includes recruiting academically qualified student-athletes, scheduling, scouting, conditioning, supervising the coaching staff, managing the program budget, generating revenue, and other duties assigned. In addition, the Head Coach is responsible for making sure that all duties are executed in compliance with NCAA, PSAC and institutional regulations. Contract renewed on annual basis.

Required Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree. •Two years of successful collegiate coaching experience in Wrestling •Demonstrated commitment to promoting student-athlete welfare and academic success. •Demonstrated success in the athletic development of student-athletes. •Excellent oral, written, interpersonal communication skills. •Knowledge of and: osuccessful experience in recruiting prospective student-athletes. oexperience working with volunteers. oexperience managing budgets. •Evidence of: oworking effectively with student-athletes of diverse races and cultures. ocomplying fully with NCAA and PSAC regulations oa commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. •Valid driver’s license. •Successful interview. •Successful completion of three background checks.
Preferred Qualifications: •Successful head coaching experience at the intercollegiate level. •Knowledge and/or experience at the NCAA DII level. •Knowledge and/or experience recruiting within the PA and Atlantic region. •Successful fundraising experience. •Knowledge of strength and conditioning techniques.
